Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng unveiled its next-generation humanoid robot IRON at the 2025 AI Day event. The robot is equipped with self-developed AI chips and targets mass production by the end of 2026.

At Xpeng AI Day held in Guangzhou on November 5, 2025, the next-generation IRON robot walked the runway, showcasing natural and fluid movements. The robot’s movements were so lifelike that company representatives had to dissect the robot on stage to prove no person was hiding inside.

The IRON robot is powered by Xpeng’s second-generation Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model and can perform the following advanced tasks:
